Murals and decorative finishes offer unlimited opportunities to create a mood, integrate furnishings and fabrics, anchor a room and accentuate a decorative scheme.

The decorative treatment of hard surfaces with murals or special painted finishes provides a context for all other furnishings and can have a powerfully transformative effect on the tone and feel of an interior. Historically these treatments have been used to charming effect in interiors from cathedrals to cottages and everything in between. Murals, stenciling, glazing, pinstriping…all contribute a richness of color, texture and depth to the otherwise blank, characterless surfaces of walls, ceilings, floors and doors. The simplest touch, a pinstripe above a chair rail in an accenting color, a toned glaze on the recessed panel of a door, a stencilled sunburst around an otherwise plain ceiling fixture imparts a quality of refinement, sophistication and individuality to an interior.
